05 Apr 100 BLACK MEN OF SOUTH FLORIDA PARTNERS WITH THE WOMEN PRESIDENTS’ ORGANIZATION TO HONOR OUTSTANDING WOMEN LEADING SUCCESSFUL BUSINESSES & NONPROFITS
NEW YORK, NY (November 11, 2015) — 100 Black Men of South Florida, Inc. (100BMSF), in partnership with the Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO), announce the selection of the 2015 Women of Color Achievement Award recipients. A total of 24 women will be honored at the 2015 Women of Color Achievement Awards cocktail reception. Sponsored by UPS, CEO Space International and Xtreme Solutions, Inc., the event will take place on Wednesday, November 11th, from 6:00 – 8:30PM, at the Law Offices of Bilzin Sumberg.
All award recipients were identified by the 100BMSF in conjunction with the Miami chapter of the WPO. The selection criteria included successful operation of a woman-owned or led business that has reached annual revenues of at least $2 million for product-based businesses, or $1 million for service-based businesses. All companies have provided an increase in employment opportunities on a local, regional and national level and have significantly strengthened the economy.
“Just as there can be no greater honor for a man than to honor a woman, there is no greater honor for the 100 Black Men of South Florida than to honor these women as the innovators, job creators, business builders and trailblazers that they are. We stand proudly behind them as they receive the acknowledgement that they deserve. We are also proud of our partnership with the Women Presidents’ Organization nationally and on the local level to celebrate the achievements of these talented business women,” said Stephen Hunter Johnson, President of the 100Black Men of South Florida.

Each one is at the peak of her professional achievement, demonstrating outstanding leadership qualities and running multi-million dollar businesses that promote economic security. They also devote their time and energy to improving the quality of life in our local communities. We salute all of this year’s award winners as role models for women and girls everywhere,” said Marsha Firestone Ph.D., President and Founder of the Women Presidents’ Organization.
