This event will offer hundreds of education and career opportunities for students throughout Miami-Dade County
MIAMI – The 100 Black Men of South Florida, Inc., in partnership with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, will host its 7th Annual College & Career Expo on Tuesday, October 31st at the Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition Center from 8 am until 2pm.

The College & Career Expo gives students the opportunity to visit various colleges and universities on-site and gather valuable information regarding financial aid, applications and more. The students are able to meet face to face with college representatives and ask pertinent questions related to their area of interest. Additionally, students will learn more about the various routes they can take after graduation from admissions representatives, including four-year college programs, two-year college programs, technical training and military careers. The event will also offer tips and information for students interested in entering the workforce immediately after graduation and for those students who are still undecided about what to do next. More than 5,000 students throughout Miami-Dade County are expected to attend the event.

Colleges and Universities scheduled to attend include: Amherst College, Florida State University, University of Florida, University of South Florida, University of Central Florida, Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, Florida International University, University of Miami, Florida Memorial University, Florida Atlantic University, Florida Gulf Coast University, Nova Southeastern University, Bethune-Cookman University, University of Notre Dame, Pennsylvania State University, Savannah College of Art and Design, Howard University, Hampton University, Morehouse College, Spelman College, Tuskegee University, University of Tennessee, Vanderbilt University, Dillard University, Fisk University, Rutgers University, Georgia State University, Stetson University, Seton Hall University, and Southern University.

Several of South Florida’s top corporations will also be in attendance including Publix Super Markets, Inc., Gordon Food Service, Florida Power & Light Company, Burger King, and the Miami Dolphins. Registration for this event is required. For more information please visit, www.100blackmensf.org/.
