Thanksgiving Food Drive

The 100 Black Men of South Florida spreads the joy of the Holidays to underserved children in our community through the Christmas Shopping Spree.   The Christmas Shopping Spree began approximately 25 years ago at Zmart, which was located in Liberty City.  This event has continued to grow through the years and is currently hosted by our Corporate Partner, Walmart, at its Miami Gardens location.  Each child is allotted a certain tax-free budget ($100) and allowed to shop for themselves and family members. Children are selected as a part of a CBO – Community Based Organization network of service providers. Each year, in excess of 200 children have the opportunity to participate in this exciting event, and approximately 5,000 children have benefitted since its inception.  The 100 is thankful for the opportunity to have been able to bring joy to the faces of so many children in our community over the years.
