Christmas Cheer provided to underserved children in Miami Dade and Broward Counties at the 100 Black

On December 10, 2011, the 100 Black Men of South Florida provide Christmas Cheer to more than 100 children through their annual Christmas Shopping Spree.

In keeping with the holiday spirit, the 100 launched initiatives to spread the joys of Thanksgiving and Christmas to economically disadvantaged families and children. Since 1989, the 100, through its Christmas Shopping Spree has provided Christmas Cheer for children of underserved Miami-Dade and Broward County residents.

We partner with various Community Based Organizations who select the children to shop for themselves and their families for Christmas presents. The agencies identify the families.

To date more than 5,000 families have benefited from the program through the 100’s partnership with Walmart along with this year’s sponsors – Orange Bowl Committee, Royal Caribbean, Physicians Access, South Florida Medical Center, Sunshine State Health and Lydecker Diaz.
